Okay, yeah, I'll admit it. I'm watching O'Reilly. And he's talking to this guy Frank Luntz who does focus groups with undecided voters. They were wrapping up the segment and O'Reilly asks him if he's going to continue these focus groups right up through election day. Luntz says yes and then adds (and I'm paraphrasing slightly) "We're even going to go past the election, through the first hundred days to see if Obama lives up to his promises."

Hmmm.....

There is no unbiased media. Anyone who thinks so is.. well, let's just say that voting advocates are trying to make sure the mentally disabled vote too, so you'll be okay.

Study: Media coverage has favored Obama campaign

Oct 31, 9:19 PM (ET)

By DAVID BAUDER

NEW YORK (AP) - John McCain supporters who believe they haven't gotten a fair shake from the media during the Republican's candidacy against Barack Obama have a new study to point to. Comments made by sources, voters, reporters and anchors that aired on ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts over the past two months reflected positively on Obama in 65 percent of cases, compared to 31 percent of cases with regards to McCain, according to the Center for Media and Public Affairs.

...sink ships.

As for the positive versus negative comments - ah, that's exactly the kind of campaign McCain has been running; negative. He's got something against negativity all of a sudden?

The media is biased because Obama and McCain have run equally coherent, effective, disciplined campaigns and refuse to report on that fact?

Yeah, right.

Yeah, right.

Exactly. The old expression "Don't blame the messenger" comes to mind.

Plus, the coverage on McCain's campaign has been more negative BECAUSE they ran a more negative campaign.

We've had a decade of balanced media reporting:

BILL THE INTERVIEWER: Today Barack Obama said he thought the moon was actually made of green cheese and no one ever visited it to check that out.

CHET THE NEWSREADER: That from the Obama campaign today, now with Senator McCain our own Chip Ahoy.

CHIP THE INTERVIEWER: McCain today said he thought it was time for a new space program and that the idea the moon was made of green cheese was just plain silly since we all know it's made of cream cheese.. back to you Chet.

CHET THE NEWSREADER: Thank your for those reports Chip and Bill and thank you all for watching.

Good Night.

I think you guys are missing the point of my original post. I was making a joke about the fix being in, because the guy was already taking about how Obama was doing 100 days into his presidency.

Thank you, wurm. I was wondering when someone would notice that, and the answer was, they wouldn't.

People who say the mainstream media is biased are really saying the mainstream media is not presenting a picture that they, as individuals, agree with. Moderates tend not to complain about bias, but those on the extremes do. One exception though, moderates will complain about Fox News.

The GOPs have internal polls that say that Obama is going to win handily on Tuesday. Guess what, duh, the GOP is trying not to make that public. The only person I have hear refer to those polls is David Frum, and he said that you would have to go back to the days after Watergate to find news this bad for the Republicans.
