I don't quite understand why the grade school near me is putting up an extra building and the sign over the lintel is Salon de Espanol. We are not putting up extra classrooms for the immigrants....bilingual ed isn't enuf?

If I have spelled the spanish wrong excuse me, I am not versed in Spanish.

You can reasonably expect that it is a language instructional classroom. Most schools teach spanish as a second language these days. Some are teaching Chinese.

It used to be French and German.

That just means Spanish Room. I agree that is most likely a new Spanish classroom. I am pleased to say that my daughter is taking her fifth level of Spanish this year as a senior in high school. Not only will Spanish be helpful for her in this country, but if she travels, she should be able to pick up Italian pretty easily and maybe even French, but why she would want to do that, I have no idea. Smile

Learning a foreign language, especially a Romance language, is always a good idea, IMHO.
