Call your local Office Depot and give them the SKU to check stock (no danger of it tipping them off since in their system it'll show up as $480, once they total it on the register it'll show up at the reduced price). And don't worry about it being a display if their stock only shows 1 (most likely it's not, since they rarely display these). They may even say it's a display (b/c if there's usually one of any item it's a display). Still you can ask them if it is.

This deal has been known about since Saturday. Also, I think this camera is on clearance. All this may explain why you won't find many.

It's showing up as $549.99 if you plug that # into their site. That's a great price if you can get it.

Yeah, don't worry about the price on their site. It is odd, but when I do the pseudo in store check (by clicking on "View Cart" and selecting "Pick Up At Store" and then selecting a nearby store...not a terribly accurate method), it shows up at that price in my store as well.

However, at the in-store kiosk, it shows as $479.XX, as does the ring up at the register (but completing the transaction at the register by totaling out, the price drops).

I was on my way home, and was checking that Office Depot thread (they're right on the way) while waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

I just bought 2. They both were display models. The first one had no box but the upc was in the bag of materials + there was an extra lens (18-55mm). We were both confused about it, so he just threw it in for free. Went to the next OD got that one too with the original box. It may have been a display model but I am not sure where it was displayed. It was perfect. Fatwallet makes you broke.

Wish I had know about this sat.
