Monster Cable - One more reason to hate them.
#1
There is a small chain of indoor miniature golf courses called Monster Golf. We had one open here recently.
Basically a monster theme family recreation biz - birthday party's and that kind of thing.

Well now Monster Cables has sued the original franchiser for infringement.

The owner has already spent 100K in defense and the tab still grows. She is raising money for the defense fund
by selling discount coupons on ebay (they pulled her original listing soliciting donations)
[cgi.ebay.com]

Also Kurt Denke of Blue Jeans Cables is involved [www.audioholics.com]
He is offering a matching donation up to $1000 to anyone that donates to her fund [www.bluejeanscable.com]
He is also offering a percentage of profits from some selected promo products through 12/15
They are calling it their "Torch & Pitchfork Sale" [www.bluejeanscable.com]

If you need some stocking stuffers (discount coupons) or some new cables this would be a good time to pick some up.

can't someone stop these jerks? do the laws really favor someone like Monster CABLE suing someone called Monster GOLF? How could there possibly be any dilution of their brand???

Monster Cable should sue themselves for defamation of character and loss of potential business.

I got suckered into buying one of their cables many years ago and have since realized it was a financial mistake.

I really really hope that with the help of Kurt Denke there can be a serious fight against this kind of crap.

Frivolous and unrealistically opportunistic. Monster Cable should have to pay all costs and then some. Maybe they should sue Pixar for naming a movie, "Monster, Inc.".

Remember when Tiger Direct sued Apple for calling the OS "Tiger"?

I already have plenty enough reasons to hate them. But thanks for piling on!
