one-step .mov to YouTube upload app?
#1
Hey all,

My parents' Kodak EasyShare V550 camera (a few years old) creates movies that are in .mov format. I was able to get one of them onto YouTube by converting it to .mp4 format through QT Pro, and then uploading it through the YouTube web interface. A quick search of VersionTracker didn't turn up anything that automates this task--does anyone know if one exists?

If something one-step (or two-steps, I suppose) doesn't exist, I might code up something. Thanks!

Thanks -- that is good info, but doesn't really help with the automation (for my luddite parents).

Some standalone apps are mentioned in the comments.

The iPod Touch/iPhone presets in Handbrake are reported to work, or you could make your own. Also not the most user-friendly, I know but not too bad.

I could probably make something with applescript. I'm not sure if I could though *shot*.

Just as I thought. I don't know how to do it.

Holy ****. I did it. I made the program. But the problem is it converts the file into a .m4a instead of a .mp4 is this alright with you?

I thought .m4a was an audio format, but if YouTube accepts it, fantastic. Thanks!
