STOP TEMPTING ME!!!!

:-)

Seriously, that's getting harder and harder to resist a color laser with deals like that...
It doesn't say if it includes Toner or not, and at $89 each for the C, the M, the Y and the K, I'll hold off a bit longer...

I'm suspicious of the "Network and duplex capabilities built in." in the description.

If that were true, then it really should be the 6180/DN which is listed for twice that price.

high yield toner carts are $230 each for 6,000 pages...

230 + 230 + 230 + $200 (black) = $1000 toner for a $200 printer...

Yeah, I think I would seriously investigate the home toner refill kits for the Xerox before I bought one...
But Office Max listed the high-cap cartridges for $195 each. Not a huge savings over the $230 you quoted, but when you need FOUR of them, every bit helps :-)

Here is the Xerox Page for this printer: http://www.office.xerox.com/printers/col.../enus.html

Looks like it comes with color toner rated for 2000pgs and 3000 for black... Duplex is optional

no refill kits for the 6180 that i have seen...

bother 4040 or 4070 has under $90 high capacity toners...

and my xerox 7300 toners are $300+ each -- but get 15000 pages... imaging units add another $200 each...

So if you buy 3 more of them for another $600, you'll get the 6000 pages of toner for much less than $1000. Of course you need to dispose of the 3 extra printers that were just organ donors. That gets it down to $0.10/page

I have found excellent deals on the toner carts on ebay -- if you watch the auctions carefully, you can sometimes snag something good. For example, I found someone selling the cyan/yellow high-capacity as a pair, I was able to get it for a bid of about $140. That's $70 per cart for the HIGH capacity ones, which typically go for much more than that.

That's a helluva deal. I saw these at MacWorld, and their ink price-per-page costs were quite reasonable compared to the competition. Stunning output, too. Sure beats my Xerox Phaser 6250N.

This is definitely the next printer I get.
