Anyone using invisishield or similar product for their MB/MBP? I just noticed a small scratch on the outside of my new MBP and am thinking about getting something like this. *Not a big fan of the snap on type covers (my son has one on his PSP) they seem to collect a lot of dust etc. and add bulk/thickness.

I guess it's a matter of whether you care more about scratches or dents. The invisishield-type products will do a good job of preventing scratches and will also not add bulk to your laptop. The speck cases (or similar) offer more heavy-duty protection against more severe damage link dents and dings while also providing scratch resistance.
If you're pretty careful with your laptop and don't expect to get any dents/dings, I'd go with the invisishield. If you tend to be a little more clumsy and have a tendency to drop things, go with the speck.

I've got the speck. In terms of bulk, it is minimal. And it still is on sale. I really like the Speck case. It fits like a glove, is light, all the ports are accessible,
But I do have, from Powersupportusa, their wrist rug and clear shield for the trackpad, both which work well.
Just depends on your likes.
What ever you get, having the speck case has really shown how much grease, fingerprints, dust, etc, that your Macbook gets exposed to.

I dont' know that I'd want a case like that for my laptop, but that's just me. I've become a fan of Invisishield on handhelds though. They'd probably work well on a laptop too I'd think.

this reminds me of some people that kept the TV remote in a plastic bag.

A laptop without a case or shield is like someone buying a brand new Caddy, but not getting the door ding molding.:-)

I just ordered a ZAGG Invisishield for my early 2008 MBP. I used the 50% off code and ordered on the 31st, so I'm hoping it shows up here by this Friday. I have a ZAGG shield on my original iPhone and which only a few exceptions, I've been very happy with it. I actually like the tactile feel it's added to the iPhone (and corresponding "grippiness"), so much so that when I pick up friend's iPhones that have no case it feels too slick in my hands.
I bought the Invisishield instead of a Speck case cause I'm pretty careful with my laptop, despite hauling it back and forth to the office with me everyday (it's my personal and work machine). I had a PowerBook before the MBP and managed to put several surface scratches on it, but never a dent in it.
I'll be happy to provide feedback after I've got the ZAGG shield for the MBP and have had it on a few days.

Then you've never seen any device invisibleShield or Bodyguardz, especially the latter.
Nothing wrong with preserving the finish of expensive gear.

Hmm, well now you have me thinking the Speck case may be a good option. Although I'm usually very careful, and my MBP has a nice comfy home in a Swissgear backpack most of the time.
Grumpy is it easy to take it on/off to clean? Like I mentioned, my son has a clear case on his PSP and it gets kind of gross after a few weeks of use. (Hair, dust, debris etc...) Yuck!
