Do you carry an expensive pen in your briefcase, purse, or inside suit pocket, that hardly anyone ever gets to see, but your knowing it's there, and that you have it, makes you feel a little better about the world? Maybe an ostrich skin cover for your HP-12C calculator? Ridiculously expensive designer undies from *that* recent thread? Grandpa's/grandma's gold pocket watch? Titanium USB flash drive?
What do you use/carry/wear everyday (or almost everyday), that when you think about it, is a bit extravagant , but you use/carry/wear pretty much just because it gives you the warm & fuzzies? With my nerve damage, and limited use of my arms and hands, I wear Hawaiian shirts pretty much every day that are never tucked in, as merely trying to tuck any shirt in is a challenge, plus after doing so, just that little extra bit of friction makes using/moving my arms more difficult. The loose fitting, wildly printed fabric also helps camouflage the atrophy in my arms/shoulders. While the aloha shirts couldn't be more obvious, my "stealth" luxury item(s) are my belt collection. Hardly anybody ever sees any belt I wear, as the shirt covers it, but just wearing a somewhat overly nice belt every day makes me feel a bit better.
So, what's your favorite "stealth" everyday luxury item?...
thought it might be interesting to compare w/ what shows up on Monday's giveaway lists...
I don't think my wife would like the way I'd look in that!
LOL! With a diamond setting? How about an ampallang with diamonds on either end?
I don't have much in the way of little luxuries at the moment. I'd love to get a better watch, but not a big priority now. I want to start buying better shoes again as the cheapies I've bough lately tend to wear out more quickly anyway, but don't know if I'd qualify that as a "luxury".

It used to be ties, socks and suspenders. Visible, but I'd buy really expensive, vintage or designer versions sometimes. Pens had their day too. If I could afford it, now days it would probably be watches.

It used to be my jewelry. I do like diamonds, and I still own some lovely pieces. They live in my jewelry box now, though, because Louie isn't impressed, and he's the one I see most often - all day, every day.
