Mac mini arrived, but the monitor won't be here till Thursday.

UPS just delivered the previous generation Mac mini that I ordered from Amazon, but the monitor I ordered from Costco won't be here till Thursday.

I have a VGA to mini 'something' connector from an old G4 ibook, that would allow me to use the eMac as a monitor, but alas I have no monitor cable, since the newest stand alone monitor I have is from a Performa 6400. I guess I will be waiting till Thursday to fire up the Mac mini, won't I.

When I ordered the monitor from Costco the estimated ground delivery map showed that my delivery time should be 1 day, but then they shipped it from California instead of wherever their east coast warehouse is. I guess they were out of my monitor on this side of the country or something. Oh well, I will have something to look forward to on Thursday.

Kind of hard to tell, isn't it? Why do I think hubby is in danger of getting a slightly used iMac, with rgG "needing" to use that new mini and 22" monitor for a while "just to make sure it works right"?

It really is for hubby, but I will have to do the setup. I did consider that he might rather have the iMac, but decided that he should get the new machine this time.

Of course, depending on how nice that new monitor looks...
