I think there is a very good chance it will run OS X. There is also a chance that it will be able to record TV shows with an Eye TV since that Nvidia graphics chip has been demonstrated to encode HD video in real time. It would be a full featured media center computer for only $70 more than an Apple TV.

Microsoft updates Xbox 360 to stream 1080p. Microsoft has sold about 12 million units in the US. This is a huge installed base.

If Netflix adds the option, I think the Apple TV will officially dead and iTunes video has some massive competition.
