iphone battery life, playing video
#1
Taking a plane trip tomorrow and was hoping to catch up on 24 Season 7.

How much continuous video playing time can I expect? I googled and found a range from 2 hours to 5 hours. Luckily I have a layover in Chicago so hopefully I can grab some juice there.

Oh, and also, in Airplane mode obviously, so the wifi and cellular radios will be off.

My battery life is bad, no matter what. I pretty much get 24 hours of life using my phone. I can't add much about video life as I only use the iPod portion.

Ive said it before, but not having a quick changing battery on the back of the iPhone is a big drawback. I alway find myself keeping a car charger and a usb charger so I can plug in wherever I can.

I have thought about the snap on packs, but they interfere with my other accessories (car mount, etc).

I hope the next Rev fixes this.

I can get about 4 hours of video, if that's all I do. My iphone is about a year old and I recharge it everyday most of the time. Games seem to eat the battery up quick, so I wouldn't start out with games.

I was looking at this:

this morning... but no time to get it. I have to fly out tomorrow AM. If the battery runs out I might have to resort to the old 20th century standbys of reading magazines, sleeping, and trying not to touch the person next to me.

is there an App to "unleash the f-in fury" on an airplane?

I have the Macally J-box. It provides approximately 2 full recharges for my iPhone. Target may have a battery powered charger for the iPhone. Just make sure to get one that states that it's compatible with the iPhone. Not all are. If it has a standard usb jack for the iPhone sync cable, there's a good chance it will work (assuming it provides enough charging current).
