Got to work this morning a few minutes after 9. Stopped outside to talk with the boss - he was having a smoke break over at his car.
A helicopter comes through the air off in the distance, then swings and comes our direction. It stops and hovers over the mall, which is within walking distance of where we are. Then within a minute or two, 4 more helicopters show up. It can't be any later than 9:10, no major highways are close to us that may need a traffic/accident report, so I know something's going on.
Then I remembered the manhunt going on for Robert Maday:

So he was in my area, really close too by looking at the pictures in the article. Hope they got him.
