Jeff beck and Eric Clapton performing together
#1
I'm soooo jealous of anyone living in London!

"Due to overwhelming fan demand, and a sold-out first show, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton announced today a second show at London’s 02 on Sunday, February 14, 2010. Tickets will go on-sale this Friday, October 2nd.

On the heels of a stunning collaboration in Tokyo, Japan last February and after much speculation, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton announced earlier this month an eagerly anticipated collaboration at the 02 Arena London on February 13, 2010. The duo had only planned a one-night only performance which quickly sold out, and have this second and final show."

Edit: You can download a free song from his new album "Blanket" here at Amazon

If you haven't had an opportunity to see the DVD of Jeff Beck "Live at Ronnie Scott's" in London, you're in for a treat. It's a masterpiece, a career performance. The DVD went platinum, rare for a DVD of a concert. Clapton appeared on stage with Beck during this show, and they make great music together.

Also notable on this recording (and on all of Beck's tours since 2007) is the outstanding bass player, a 23-year-old Australian wunderkind Tal Wilkenfeld Her youthful appearance is misleading. Tal's a killer talent.

Aong with drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, and Jason Rebello on keyboards, Beck's whole band is first rate.

for each show on the tour Imogen tries to have a local cello player come up on stage with her and play the cello's part of Aha!, I'm guessing she tries to get local talent, apparently she has been holding the prelim auditions via webcam.
Here's a highlight reel, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21QVivVgbik

Beck needs to follow Jimmy Page's lead and stop dying his hair (or wig).

This is a tremendous DVD and shows Jeff at the top of his game. It was great to see him playing with Clapton on it and you could tell they were really enjoying it. The upcoming shows should be great if that performance is any indication of what.s to come.

JEFF BECK IS god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hands down the BEST guitar player in the world. Always has been, his work with the Yardbirds was ground-breaking, The JB group with Rod Stewart, Truth and Beck-ola Lp's, absolutely unbeatable...the slow period..with Bogart and Appice, he played great but the vocalists always sucked..from the mid 70's on, he just rocked hard.

Live at Ronnie Scott's is a desert island disc for sure.

BTW, Clapton is VASTLY OVER-RATED. Cream and Blind Faith were great, Derek and the Dominos too...from there a steady decline.

If they could remaster those albums and re-record the vocals with someone decent, I'd buy those in a heartbeat.
