Powerbook g4 400mhz - no power at all - good batt, supply, what now?

I have a powerbook g4 400mhz that worked perfectly fine until it was put away for a couple of months. now it doesn't do anything - it doesn't appear to be getting any power at all. I've done the power manager reset and tried known good batteries and power supplies from working powerbooks. What is next? I'm about to order a PMU - know of a good source? If that doesn't work, I guess I'm looking at buying a new motherboard.

Have any suggestions before I head down this lonely road?

ah, i also tested the clock battery and it seems fine.
