There's sufficient concern around here that it's a close enough race to warrant a visit by Mr. Obama today to drum up support for Coakley. Might actually make for an interesting Tuesday here.

It's the democrats fault for taking such a lazy approach to the elections - presuming that their candidate would automatically win. That created a void and an opportunity for the republican candidate to take the reins.

It's not Ted Kennedy's seat.
The Oval office isn't Bush's, either.

I hope so.

You don't get a say. There are worse things about Scott Brown than mentioned in the OP.

Well, Joe, are you gonna just throw that out there with no facts? Not even a hint? So the guy posed nude for Cosmo25 years ago. Whoop-dee-do!
Would you like me to mention that Coakley:
• Says the Taliban has left Afghanistan? (Tell that to the people attcked in Kabul yesterday)
• Shilling is a Yankee fan? (I bet the Boston fans loved that)
• Says that medical people with ethical reasons not to perform abortions or administer the "morning after pill" probably shouldn't be working in Emergency Rooms? (That probably cheered up a lot of Catholic doctors and nurses in MA - to say nothing of the faith based hospitals.)
• The curling iron rape of a two year old? (As AG, why was she so lax in this horrific case?)

Go tell the people of Massachusetts. Perhaps they're turned off by the Democratic party's failure to actually RUN for the seat.
It's kind of a surprise, but then again they kept re-electing Ted because he was ... Ted Kennedy. Let's face it. The great American Voter will vote for their 'favorite son', in most cases, unless there's a 'dead girl or a live boy'. In Teddy's case there WAS a 'dead girl', but they still re-elected him.
If his widow had run she might have gotten a better result (think Sonny Bono's replacement), and ridden in on the coat-tails. But the Democratic party picked a party apparatchick and blew it. Badly.
We'll see what happens in the polls, but it's another lesson in 'Never Assume you have the support of the people unless you have no opponents whatsoever'.

You want to know so badly, go look them up yourself. You don't vote here, so quite frankly I am not going to go to the bother for you. But for a hint, start with his name and a high school assembly he was asked to speak to a few years ago.
