wierd photoshop cs issue...help

All of a sudden the option button is not doing what it is supposed to do.

I cannot set the clone point in the clone tool.

Did I set some button accidentally?

I have no idea what is going on! Help.

Tried 3 different keyboards, they all work on separate machines.

Tossed the preferences. Now it is working again. Weird...

I have a Photoshop CS issue .... For some reason I can no longer double click on a file and get it to open. Selecting the file out of Photoshop is no problem though .... ideas?

In OS 9 we would rebuild the desktop. In 10 repair permissions. Get info on one of the files and where it says "Open With" make sure you choose photoshop and click "change all" when prompted.
