Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - Grateful11 - 03-10-2011 Here's what I'm sending back as a reply: Hi, I did some checking and it seems that you may be under the impression that the headset was suppose to come with a microphone and volume control. I have chatted with them at Apple and the 4th Gen. headset does not come with a microphone or volume control. Only 3rd Gen. headsets came with those. I'm partly coming to this conclusion because the headset you may be thinking you were supposed to get sells separately through Apple for $29 and with tax would be about $32.60. The guy at Apple I chatted with said that they do not come with those that they are available separately. This is what was said: '3G earbuds had the mic/volume control, 4G earbuds are plain'. If you would like to take them to the nearest Apple store and verify them with Apple that's fine with me. You got what was pictured an IPod sold as Parts or Repair with accessories. I've posted close up pictures of the headset online and everyone said it's the same headset they received with their 4th Gen iPod Touch. It is also the same headset which came with my son's same 4th Gen iPod. There is really no need in shipping them back to me. I'm sorry if you feel like you were mislead in any way but everything was clearly shown in the photo and you could have asked about them before bidding. Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - Grateful11 - 03-10-2011 Here's his lastest reply back: "With or with out mic or volume controller doesn't make a difference the quality of the headset is poor original apple headset feels rubbery the one you send me feels like hard plastic. I'm not saying your intentionally send me a bad headset. I'm saying what ever the reason was the headset I recived isn't original. I normally only bid 100-110 on broken iPod touch 4th gen but because you said it comes with brand new original headset. I'm really sorry but if you can't replace a original headset for me or give me a refund of $32.60 there is not I can do but send the item back which I really hate to do." Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - Black - 03-10-2011 mick e once posted a little quip that stuck with me-- it went something like "rule #1 for dealing with crazy people-- do not engage, do not enrage." I think this guy's crossed the line into nutso. You're already engaged, at this point I'd take a small hit to get this person out of your life and refund the stupid $32.60. Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - Grateful11 - 03-10-2011 More BS: 1. I can't take it up with apple cuz I'm not the one who brought the iPod. If you going to send me the same headset then there is really no point of me sending the headset back. I'm sorry but I really can't make any profit if I have to buy my customer a brand new headset. I'm sorry but I have no choose but to send the item back to you. Is really out of my hand. 2. I'm willing to send you back the head phone for a refund of 32.60 or else if I really have to I will have to dispute it with eBay. I mean I don't want to get a bad feedback but oh well We told him to go ahead and dispute it. Like I said earlier my wife has never lost a dispute with a buyer. If I had any doubt in my mind that we had sent him something wrong I would refund him some money but I'm not refunding $32.60 for a set of headphones that were not even suppose to come with that iPod. He'll have to send it to eBay for inspection and I doubt he'll be willing to do so. Even if he does I have enough evidence to win. He says now he's sending us back the whole thing. If he sends back exactly what we sent him I'll refund the entire amount and sell it again. Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - GGD - 03-10-2011 Even though that iPod Touch was broken, it is still less than a year old, and under warranty, so the ear buds and dock cable should be covered under the warranty. The warranty is based on the serial number, not the buyer. Tell him to take it to the genius bar and tell them that are defective because they don't feel right, and ask Apple to replace them (with ones that will feel exactly the same). Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - Ken Sp. - 03-10-2011 Not sure about these---But my previous iPod headphones were all hard plastic, while all my iPhones have had the grey band soft rubber, rather than hard plastic. You could also add the line " this will insure you are getting exactly the Apple product you are entitled to as having come with this exact model of Apple product". Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - Grateful11 - 03-10-2011 Well haven't heard a thing from him since last night. He hasn't filed anything yet, he still has plenty of time though. I could tell him to what y'all are saying but he won't do it. You get about one of these people per year. We once got cursed out just for putting a vintage slot track on eBay for $200 buy it now. We never had any dealings with him but for some reason this enraged him to point that he let cuss words fly in a message through eBay for listing that track for $200, it sold within 2 or 3 days. Something about it being too high for him buy it for his Father. I'm telling you there's some nuts out there. My wife a nice long Blocked Bidder list, if she has any trouble with them at all they go on the list. Three more will get added this week for non-payment and this fiasco. Re: Are these real Apple earbuds or not, Buyer is claiming Item Not As Described, Bandwidth warning! - GGD - 03-10-2011 BTW: I have no doubt that what you pictured is exactly what Apple included with the 4G iPod Touch. Mine matched it exactly right down to the way the wires were wound inside of the packaging and how the plug and buds are positioned. |
