we got a sampler from this guy yesterday:
http://texssmokinbarbq.com/index.html

Tex's Texas Size Sampler $20.95
* Brisket * 3 Wings
* Pulled Pork * Beans
* Sausage Link * Texas Toast
* 2 Ribs * Bar-B-Q Sauce

OK, first thing - the "toast" was a thick piece of white bread. plain.

everything else was great. wife & i shared it and had plenty to eat.

he only sets up Fri, Sat & Sun by the roadside.

If you want a similar (but healthier, not to mention more animal friendly) alternative, I'd suggest these. I've had them both in a sandwich or just on a plate. It actually tastes better than there McRib, too. Found in many grocery stores.

I enjoy their version of hot dogs, but not the "Chk" nuggets!

The McRib is a great concept, flawed by poor execution...

Make the same sandwich with actual pork ribs, fresh vegetables, a nice fresh roll, and some good BBQ sauce, and OH, my.... the very idea has my mouth watering!

But the McRib? Not so much...

I've been to Bub's. Decent but not extraordinary. If you're a little farther east, try these dudes: http://btsmokehouse.com/wordpress/

I'm hungry just thinking about it. And I just ate.

Might if I am out that way. 20-25 minutes to Bub's, it would be about 90 minutes to there from home. Bub's food has varied in quality over the years. Once it depended on whether Bub was there or he was vacationing. His son was not quite as consistent, will have to see how it does now that ownership has passed out of the family.

We've had it back for about a month now. That 'add an additional one for $1' is a killer. lol

Why on earth would they try to make ribs without the ribs? Wouldn't it be cheaper and vastly better to just use the real thing?

The fools can't drink coffee without maiming themselves, you want to give them real ribs ?
