So 1366x768 is good enough for a $1000 MBA but the same resolution on a $400 laptop means it is junk?

When you're comparing an 11.6" display to a 15.6" display, yes, that's exactly what it means.

Odd, seems to work fine on the nearly 10" iPad.

960x640 seems to work fine, too.

On an iPhone. But on a 15.6" display? Maybe not so much.

Weren't you referencing an 11" MBA as well? If you feel a 15" display with the same res as the 11" doesn't cut it, what about the comparison between a 10" and 11" with such disparate resolutions?

Umm, my new 13" MBA is 1440x900 - MUCH better than the 15" screens on PC laptops.

It is also three times the price.

Really? What does the PC laptop market have for $433?

You're kidding, right? There's plenty of laptops in that range? Many even less expensive. Some not very good, some surprisingly capable given the prices.

Probably more like twice the price of an "average" 15" PC Laptop. If the screen resolution were the only superior attribute, it would be silly to pay so much more.
Do you think that's the case?
