I've tried different brands along the way but I keep going back to the basic Reeboks. They are sized right for my foot , very comfortable and among the least expensive.

35,000 miles on New Balance since 1975. Expensive for the good ones but worth it. Started with the old 320.

New Balance. Different widths and very comfortable.

New balance.

I'd look into Sauconys if I ran more .

Well, rgG's post indirectly reminded me that I still had a balance on a Kohls gift card, so I headed there earlier today. I ended up buying two pair–a pair of Reeboks and a pair of New Balance–both on sale. That should cover me for a while.

Thanks for the ideas.

I've worn NBs for some time, six or seven pairs, because they've always been on sale.

But I find them lacking in arch support. Adding something doesn't seem to help much.

Also, I've found them rather hard, like walking on cement. Or is it concrete? The dry stuff. At the end of a day, I find my feet really sore. The sizing is good, the comfort-- not so much.

Adding gel insoles doesn't help either.
