Re: Truly exotic places.... - Rick-o - 07-02-2017 Nicely done! I like the old buildings. Today's counterparts pale in comparison. Re: Truly exotic places.... - freeradical - 07-02-2017 No fighting traffic there... Re: Truly exotic places.... - max - 07-02-2017 freeradical wrote:Very true, there was no traffic until Lampasas. There is a certain etiquette in driving Texas, two lane country roads. With speed limits of 75mph some locals may drive below speed limit, so when a vehicle appears behind you, even if you are doing above the speed limit, one moves over and drives on the shoulder, without prompting, without putting on a blinker, until passed. It is necessary for the passing driver to acknowledge the courtesy, by waving, tapping brake lights, etc. it is all very civilized.... I will traverse the roads of rural S.C. early next month. I'll see if this custom is followed there. I'll try to share pix of the villages I visit. We'll see how they compare. Re: Truly exotic places.... - Dennis S - 07-03-2017 Texas is the only place I've seen this done.
