The blue covers are Bartholomew's For Tourists and Cyclists which are at least 90 years old. The rest are at least 70 years old. This Ordnance Survey map of The island of Arran is about 110 years old. Older maps are in careful storage. And they were pretty good too. Yes phone gps is fine, but there' something about spreading out a map and tracing travel routes to see the whole picture. Hundreds of old maps online, available for study or download. That way you can have your own copy printed at a local Kinko's or similar, on watercolor paper, ready for framing. Other superb collections at the Library of Congress, New York Public, and Harvard, and University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Download policies vary.
