You're asking at a uber Mac addict site how people like a Mac product.
I'm thinking people will love it.
Because on PC/Windows, people are objective and not addicts, so they hate it.

I use the first gen touchID Mac keyboard as an external for my laptop when plugged into two external monitors. Works fine. In the end, I run it wired via a USBC to lightning cable. I have not switched users with it. But I have used it with more than one Mac with touchID. Seems ok switching between computers.
I find the use of my Apple Watch for authentication to be as useful (or more) than touchID on my laptop. Together, I only have to rarely type in my password even for installing software etc.
