It may speak more to the scattering of far right wing cadres that pepper our armed forces - many with independent funding sources but most with common objectives - than it does to any national political objective.

Sure looks like it's still going on.
To all appearances, the original operation has ended, but there's a new budget-line for it under Biden.
If you want to be charitable, we're on hold, pending the next investigation before we can safely conclude whether this practice is still occurring.
