Vision…. BUT THEY STILL DID IT. And that’s the problem. Everyone in the government is surrendering to this maniac.

Yeah, the "rollover" is simply unbelievable. But when people fear for their jobs, their livelihood, and their family's well-being, they'll do just about anything they're told to do. And that's what's got to stop, but the legal system just wasn't designed to deal with this level of chaos effectively. Individuals can throw wrenches at to slow the forward motion, but there are far more wrenches needed for this mess than can be called into service at one time.
These guys would be ground up under the wheels. I think these people would have elected the actual Hitler. We'd be asking some Jews on their way to Concentration Camp "Why the heck did you guys vote for him?" They'd be like "We thought he was going to be more careful with who he persecuted. We've done Judaism the right way. Not like those bad Jews."

Experts have said this overriding of the Endangered Species Act is probably illegal.

Pretty sure he could not care less.

He doesn't ask, "Who will let me?" He says, "Who's gonna stop me?"

Lots of problems implementing this. Just like his Cali water orders. Dumb. But will be popular in spirit!

In the case of the Northwest, more logging will be popular...but so many mills have closed that timber prices will fall. There may be some export markets (Asia) for lumber, except tariffs. The forest counties love logging (they get federal money for logs sold) but maybe no federal money?

Tourists hate logging. And the Endangered Species Act has not been repealed. I know that statutes have yet to slow down firing fed workers, but private loggers will not be thrilled at the risk that some federal judge comes after them. Kinda risky.

I think this is more performative than impactful. But Trump. And MAGA.

Unfortunately, it will happen. There will be a few that celebrate and then find that their favorite place is ruined, but most just go into the wilds to dump their garbage, ride their 4-wheelers and drink beer, so it doesn’t matter what it looks like.

Nothing more maddening than that. "Hey, lets go to one of the most beautiful places on earth and trash it."

Remember these two yahoos from last year, who decided ancient sandstone rock formations in Lake Mead National Recreation Area needed to be tipped over?

They were identified, arrested, and arraigned last August, and were to face trial last October. They were released without bail, on their own recognizance.

Since last August, crickets, as far as I can find. Both Google and Bing (even "Microsoft Copilot"!) show nuttin' after that date.

Maybe they were pardoned?
