Of course, the Republicans just used the abuse to get rid of the "Independent cousel" position that Ken Starr willingly destroyed. Imagine what an Independent Counel would find about Bush-Cheney (assuming they didn't Gitmo him!)

For understandable reasons, Democrats wanted to let the law that established the Office of the Independent Council -- office of vigilante prosecutor with an unlimited budget -- expire, since it had been used as a reckless weapon against their officeholder. Bet we wish they renewed that law, it sure would come in handy right about now.

Hmmm.could it be that Bill really doesn't think Obama would be good for the nation? He has no obligation to support someone he doesn't believe in any more than any of us do. It would be nice for him to do so, but maybe he actually has scruples and is having doubts.

Only thing wurm, Bill Clinton has been working hard to support Obama. You can't just go by the cut of his jib.
