No! I really thought the 1300 you have/had was very enviable.
I'm wanting to sell my bike.

Kawasaki 2004 ZG1000 Concours. My first and only moto so far. I just love it, had it about 4 years.

The ST1300 was a beautiful bike. I thought when I bought it that I entered motorcycle valhalla. Something just didn't fit. Maybe it was me that didn't fit. I couldn't get a comfortable set up for the seat. I tried going with a modified stock seat. I tried a Corbin seat. Just couldn't find the right seat. Then I tried bar risers. I was looking to get as close to neutral riding position as possible. I got close but the grip position was angled a bit too much.

In my previous life, I ran jackhammers for 8 hours at a time days on end. So I have problems with my hands falling asleep if they're in the wrong position.

All I know is riding the Gold Wing, my hands don't fall asleep and my butt is plenty comfortable. I am able to stand sit on the seat and put my feet flat on the ground at stop light. Couldn't quite do that on the ST. I was more on the balls of my feet.

So for me it seems like a perfect fit.

When I first rode the Gold Wing I thought it felt like a beast. So darned big. But you lose that perception very quickly and it just feels natural riding it.

Tuqqer,

Those are nice bikes and they have a very loyal following. They've got to be about the longest running model. They made them from 1986 to 2006 with refinements during that time but no major redesign.

That is a classic! Get it out and get it back on the road!

These are the pics of my bike in Chennai, India. Oh yeah, one of them has my son who is desperate to ride it Smile

The bike is a Royal Enfield Thunderbird, 350 CC. A very nice city bike.

(It is the other way round in India. Two wheeler is necessity, four wheeler is a luxury, three wheelers are always for hire.)
