Really thought he was great back in the day. Madman Across the Water is my favorite but when Yellow Brick Road came along the Top 40 really showed up... Tossed him aside then although this late effort with Leon Russell has been both surprising and good!

If you look at the tour locations he specifically went after smaller 'rural' venues. Instead of Seattle, Portland or Vancouver he played Yakima WA. Instead of Pittsburgh or Philly, he played in Reading PA.

I was impressed at the quality of the sound. Plenty loud, but plenty of bottom end, so you didn't feel like you were being blown away. I was in the 20th row, and the volume was pretty tolerable.

He played a three song block from Madman (including Madman) as well as a three song block from the new album.

Just for you. He asked if you were there, and was disappointed when we told him you weren't.
As was quoted from the link, he played all the big hits and a lot of the medium hits (three hours isn't enough to hit them all). "Your Song" was his encore, but I missed it to beat the traffic (and I was ok with that). We knew the setlist (insider info), so we knew that was it after that.
