But I'm just sick of UmmBama TALKING... talk, talk, talk. When has he EVER done anything important? He is the product of the Chicago political machine. When he was a state Senator, he voted "present" so many times it became a joke. You're entitled to whatever your opinion may be. I can say that I consider Obama intelligent because of how he constructs sentences, and my wife has pointed out many passages in his book which I consider eloquent and beautiful.
Can you back your opinion, or would you prefer it stand unsupported?
I want to believe Palin is more intelligent than, initially, she seems to strike me. Can you provide any reason for me to do so?

I just watched Katie Couric interview Sara Palin on The CBS Evening News & have come to realize that Mrs. Palin is a bumbling idiot. She makes Dan Quayle look like a mental giant by comparison.

She is probably a very sweet person but she is not by any stretch of the imagination ready to be VP, let alone President. I am sorry but she is totally inarticulate.

I wasn't happy with the choice of Biden but honest to God, I believe that Palin is completely lost in her new position with none of qualities that would help her to rise to the occasion -- and whether I like him or not, I do not think that of Biden.

There's a large group of folks out there that will continue to canonize Palin no matter what she says and does. Don't bother to look for rational thought because none is involved. These are the folks who believe the Rapture is imminent, they want creationism taught in public school, they want to censor your reading material, they want to dictate to women what they can and cannot do with their bodies, they demand the right to life for a cluster of undifferentiated cells while they cheer for capital punishment, collateral damage and trophy kills. They are secretly thrilled by the horrible slaughter in the Mideast because they see it as the beginning of the Apocalypse. Palin is one of their own, just as Bush is. McCain knows his only chance is to have these folks on his side. Almighty IMITS, please save us from your acolytes.

McCain opted for a Trophy Vice-President and it's becoming more and more obvious every day.
