Re: How many of you are using WAZE? - gabester - 11-19-2015 I don't use the WAZE app but I do benefit from others' use of it when I check traffic and Google Maps warns me of various road incidents that have been marked by WAZE users. Re: How many of you are using WAZE? - gabester - 11-19-2015 I don't personally use WAZE but I benefit from others' use of it whenever I am going somewhere and call on Google Maps to determine the quickest route. WAZE users have often indicated traffic incidents that, coupled with a regional traffic management website for my area, give me a good idea of which route to take to get to my destination. WAZE has the added benefit of working with Google Maps wherever I may be. Apple Maps - utterly unusable for traffic avoidance. I'd say WAZE FTW! Re: How many of you are using WAZE? - Don C - 11-19-2015 Waze instructed me to get off the expressway and take a city street around a construction zone the other day. I did not do it because I saw that its directions for getting back on were wrong. Two things I like about Waze are the estimates of speed in congested areas and that it does not shut off the screen if I am just following the map without a destination set. Re: How many of you are using WAZE? - Mike Johnson - 11-19-2015 My wife uses it. It's very helpful getting through and around Los Angeles traffic, though I think it's a little too aggressive routing people on smaller roads to get around congested areas. When I see it's doing that, we ignore it. But if I drove through LA on a regular basis I would probably buy a phone so I could use Waze, it's that compelling. Re: How many of you are using WAZE? - JPK - 11-20-2015 Love it, but not so happy with the new look and feel of the redesign. Very tough for this mid 40's guy in denial about needing bi-focals to see the screen easily. |
