CBS poll: "Do you think it is ever justified for citizens to take violent action against the government, or is it never - Ted King - 01-13-2011 http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/01/11/politics/main7237404.shtml?tag=contentMain;contentBody Do you think it is ever justified for citizens to take violent action against the government, or is it never justified? Imagine what Fox "News" would have made out of this if it had been 28% of Democrats who had answered "yes". Imagine it was 1953 and a CBS poll came out saying that 28% of Democrats said that taking violent action against the government could be justifiable. You need a post for that. The guy who can't finish a post without bad mouthing the American way and then digressing on how great Europe, the place he fled on foot, is. What you are alluding to is probably the reason there are about 11% of Independents and Democrats who said, "yes". But that doesn't account for Republicans answering with about 2 and 1/2 times more "yes". And Dakota, you're still an pseudo-patriotic idiot. Re: CBS poll: "Do you think it is ever justified for citizens to take violent action against the government, or is it ne - Seacrest - 01-13-2011 The question provided two answers -- Justified, Never Justified -- which likely negates any effects of its poor wording. I don't quite understand the problem here UNLESS one is implying that there is something wrong (morally) with "justified defense or offense" from government. If this is so then are we not back to the question previously posted regarding values? |
