Do you think it is ever justified for citizens to take violent action against the government, or is it never justified?
Republican 28% yes, 64% no
Democrat 11% yes, 81% no
Independent 11% yes, 81% no
Imagine what Fox "News" would have made out of this if it had been 28% of Democrats who had answered "yes".
Imagine it was 1953 and a CBS poll came out saying that 28% of Democrats said that taking violent action against the government could be justifiable.

Yeah, it is poorly worded. What you are alluding to is probably the reason there are about 11% of Independents and Democrats who said, "yes". But that doesn't account for Republicans answering with about 2 and 1/2 times more "yes".

The question provided two answers -- Justified, Never Justified -- which likely negates any effects of its poor wording.

I don't quite understand the problem here UNLESS one is implying that there is something wrong (morally) with "justified defense or offense" from government.
If this is so then are we not back to the question previously posted regarding values?
