3 calls for backup at Benghazi denied - swampy - 10-26-2012 Requests by CIA for military backup DURING the attack at Benghazi were denied. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/26/cia-operators-were-denied-request-for-help-during-benghazi-attack-sources-say/ There is also a report that Hillary requested additional security at Benghazi PRIOR to 9/11/12, but she was turned down. I'm not clear who turned down her requests, but the one report I saw suggests it was Obama. I'm still researching this story. I haven't found a second source on this, but it may be too early. The MSM is always slow to pick up this kind of story, but, if true, they will have to report it eventually. http://www.examiner.com/article/clinton-asked-for-more-security-benghazi-obama-said-no Fox is now reporting this, citing the Examiner http://nation.foxnews.com/hillary-clinton/2012/10/26/report-hillary-asked-more-security-benghazi-obama-said-no Re: 3 calls for backup at Benghazi denied - Black - 10-26-2012 swampy wrote: Happy Halloween, swampy! ![]() Re: 3 calls for backup at Benghazi denied - cbelt3 - 10-26-2012 The record is quite clear that the ambassador requested additional security. http://www.forbes.com/sites/peterferrara/2012/10/25/benghazi-obamas-actions-amount-to-a-shameful-dereliction-of-duty/ http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/10/security-team-commander-says-ambassador-stevens-wanted-his-team-to-stay-in-libya-past-august-2/ http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/10/email-shows-state-department-rejecting-request-of-security-team-at-us-embassy-in-libya/ But: The requests were for security in TRIPOLI. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/13/world/africa/cables-show-requests-to-state-dept-for-security-in-libya-were-focused-on-tripoli.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 Re: 3 calls for backup at Benghazi denied - rjmacs - 10-26-2012 swampy wrote: Are we calling Ed Klein a 'journalist' now? I'd hate to think that our people sat back in Washington and watched our guys being killed on live feed. Re: 3 calls for backup at Benghazi denied - $tevie - 10-26-2012 You don't hate to think that at all. I can practically see the drool coming out of your mouth.
