I have ram I can pull from the same vintage iMac for the gaming I just ...... My, OUR first SSD booting. In for a penny but... lets not nickle and dime either. MUST stay with the 2011 built in SuperDrive. SSD curious. Wife may be able to adapt to external SD, as it opens up lots of possibilities for her. I'd suggest a newer iMac and either rip all her DVDs ahead of time or get an external. You could even use 3M strips and attach it to the side if necessary. A little low on RAM as it has the most expensive that OWC sells. One 23ish inch monitor. Re: iMac shopping for wife. - sekker - 02-28-2018 I use an external optical BluRay drive with my iMac. It’s far easier to load and unload tha the Apple slot-loading and SLOW ‘super’drive. Get the good optical drive and move on. Did I mention the Apple drive is speed challenged? |
