I hunted him down... and I KILLED HIM! - hal - 09-05-2020
I stirred from sleep last night realizing that my arm was itching... badly! It was exposed to the air unlike the rest of me. 'that can't be a mosquito... it's September'. Then I hear that little buzz in my ear and try the 'one hand clapping' technique of killing the sucker - didn't work (never does).
Threw the covers off, sat up, turned on the light and saw that my arm had one big bite and lots of little nibbles. I grabbed my Benadryl gel to sooth it and then went hunting.
I looked around on the ceiling, on the walls and I spotted him. Or, I spotted A mosquito. Grabbed something to swat him and smashed him. In the smear on the wall was a tiny bit of red.
Yep... I got him. I was a little embarrassed at how satisfying it was. Went back to sleep and slept GREAT.
