Gluing a rubber mat to painted metal? - C(-)ris - 12-13-2020 I've been using one of my rolling tool carts as a work stand more and more lately. I'd like to glue a rubber mat to the top of it to keep stuff from sliding all over the place. It is a lift up lid so at least some of the time gravity will be working against me. Not quite sure what to use to glue the mat down. It probably weights 15lbs. It is a heavy thick floor mat. I'd need at least a few in the center as well. I'm also worried about them scratching stuff too. I'd probably have to get something to cover the bolt heads. Re: Gluing a rubber mat to painted metal? - Ken Sp. - 12-14-2020 There are non-slip mats (like shelf paper) that would work without glue and easier to clean. |
