Sauerkraut! - rich in distress - 01-27-2022 I’m enjoying Saverne Artisan Organic lately, mainly because it’s available at Wally’s. What’s everybody using? Re: Sauerkraut! - srf1957 - 01-27-2022 I switched to whatever comes in a plastic bag in the cooler section . Since don't get homemade anymore . Re: Sauerkraut! - RgrF - 01-27-2022 Whatever comes in a refrigerated deli jar - usually German style. Re: Sauerkraut! - jonny - 01-27-2022 Homemade. Takes about 5 minutes to set up. Re: Sauerkraut! - rz - 01-27-2022 Sorry, I don't eat Re: Sauerkraut! - mrbigstuff - 01-27-2022 I make slaw but not sauerkraut. I should, though. My brand is just the store brand, decanted into glass. Re: Sauerkraut! - Racer X - 01-27-2022 wow, do they filter all the nicknames? Well, that one goes through...... Re: Sauerkraut! - rich in distress - 01-27-2022 It would be interesting to go homemade, I should try it sometime. On the other hand, it’s a once while craving so… Maybe I should try a different mustard instead haha. Re: Sauerkraut! - tuqqer - 01-27-2022 Long-time fan, used to make my own in 3-gallon German clay harsch pots. All that friendly bacteria made for great skin and super clear eyes. Now a days, I'm into convenience and it's just Bubbies. Same thing with their dills. They key is non-pasteurized, so the good bacteria are still alive and working. Re: Sauerkraut! - August West - 01-27-2022 Thanks for the link to Bubbies. It's been a long time since I bought/used their product and I certainly never saw their web site. It was fun to take a look, and I might try a recipe or two. |
