Sauerkraut! - rich in distress - 01-27-2022

I’m enjoying Saverne Artisan Organic lately, mainly because it’s available at Wally’s.
What’s everybody using?

I switched to whatever comes in a plastic bag in the cooler section . Since don't get homemade anymore .

Whatever comes in a refrigerated deli jar - usually German style.

Homemade. Takes about 5 minutes to set up.

Sorry, I don't eat raw sewage sauerkraut.

I make slaw but not sauerkraut. I should, though.

My brand is just the store brand, decanted into glass.

Well, that one goes through......

It would be interesting to go homemade, I should try it sometime.
On the other hand, it’s a once while craving so…
Maybe I should try a different mustard instead haha.

Long-time fan, used to make my own in 3-gallon German clay harsch pots. All that friendly bacteria made for great skin and super clear eyes.

Now a days, I'm into convenience and it's just Bubbies. Same thing with their dills. They key is non-pasteurized, so the good bacteria are still alive and working.

Thanks for the link to Bubbies. It's been a long time since I bought/used their product and I certainly never saw their web site. It was fun to take a look, and I might try a recipe or two.
