What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - gadje - 08-04-2023 Before the election, as long as Trumps withdraws from the presidential race. Do you think Trump would take this offer? Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - btfc - 08-04-2023 Trump will stay in the race as long as possible, to better con witless deplorables into paying off his legal bills. Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - bfd - 08-04-2023 Yep, every one of these indictments is like the "dock-donk" sound on Law and Order. Literally the sound of his bank accounts being stuffed full of $$$. It's sickening. Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - Janit - 08-04-2023 gadje wrote: Hard to see how that would work. If Biden were to pardon Trump up front, Trump would turn around and run anyways. If Biden were to offer to pardon Trump after the election is over, I doubt Trump would trust him enough to take the offer. Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - Blankity Blank - 08-04-2023 There’s a ‘tenet’, if that’s the right word, in law that you can put anything in a contract that you like, but if it’s illegal, it doesn’t suddenly become legal just because it’s in a contract. You also can’t sign away your rights based on a contract. There’s no way such an agreement wouldn’t end up challenged in court. Trump ‘signing away’ his right to run for office sounds like the meat and potatoes for a legal battle to end all legal battles. The bloodiest of red meat for Trump supporters to sink their teeth into and howl self righteously like never before. I could see it turning the 2024 election into a crazed charnel house that it might take months at a minimum to mop up. With the tendency of events to skew towards chaos these days, I would be less than shocked to possibly see concern at the United Nations level, if not even election observers. Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - Acer - 08-04-2023 What? And cut off the Woeisamee PAC gravy train? Not a chance. Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - RgrF - 08-04-2023 He's had, if not the most ethical, at least some of the best legal advise on US law that money can buy and it appears that advise is the best way to avoid being found guilty is through the political process. He's in it to stay or until he can play ALL prosecutors to a draw. Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - SteveG - 08-04-2023 Charlie Manson should have run for President. Could have saved him years of iron bunk time. Re: What if Biden offers to pardon Trump NOW - vision63 - 08-04-2023 It's moot remember?
