Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - samintx - 11-25-2008 Not me. I'll be wrapping pkgs for mailing. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - $tevie - 11-25-2008 I would rather be hit in the eye with a pointy stick. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - jesse - 11-25-2008 My daughter and I always get up early and go shopping, this year my husband is planning on joining us. Our town in fairly small so the crowds really aren't that bad. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - cbelt3 - 11-25-2008 I'm considering it. 22" HDTV LCD for $119 at Microcenter. Hmmmm. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - rz - 11-25-2008 so far, I haven't seen anything worth me getting up for. I went out the last several years and always found something worth my while. Not this year though. Last year's biggies were the 24" monitor and a decent digital camera for my mother in law. This year, all I really want/need is a couple of inexpensive 1TB internal drives. Haven't seen any deals on them yet. The only other thing I'm remotely interested in is a new Taylor Acoustic Guitar. I have Guitar Center's 15% off one item coupon (last year was 20% off). But they'll have to put it on sale first before I can consider it... 15% off still makes it too expensive for now. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - davester - 11-25-2008 I may let my fingers do some walking but there's no way I'll venture near a store. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - msglee - 11-25-2008 Temp. will be in the 50's Friday, think I'll put up the Christmas lights. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - 3d - 11-25-2008 My time is usually more valuable to me than the savings in prices. I haven't seen any serious "doorbusters" yet. Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - BigGuynRusty - 11-25-2008 I wait till late January, the stuff will be another 50% off by then. BGnR Re: Who is going shopping (Friday) after T'giving? - john dough - 11-25-2008 Last year I went to Circuit City at 4 a.m. and the line was already 100+ deep (they opened at 5 a.m.). By the time that I got in, all of the "deals" were gone (TV, laptop, various video games) and all I bought was a Buffalo router and some blank CDs. I also got out of there close to 7 a.m. After I figured that all I saved was $40, it is not worth it for me to do that again; my "savings" were only $13/hour. You have to budget in your time/savings to see if it is worth it. Anything less than $100/hour savings is not worth it, to me at least. There are ALWAYS deals that you will be able to get online and in January when everyone is broke. |
