Cigarettes . . . - Kate - 07-02-2010 Wow, am I ever glad I quit smoking! I was in the supermarket today and here in New Mexico, as of July 1, cigarettes are $7.00 a pack!!!! Back in the day when I still smoked, they were $.25 a pack. Boy, do I feel old (and glad I quit). Kate Re: Cigarettes . . . - Wags - 07-02-2010 It all started with nicotine gum, I got addicted to it, then had to start smoking to kick the gum habit. Re: Cigarettes . . . - Manlove - 07-02-2010 I had to stop 2 weeks ago for an oral surgery, and I have not smoked since. I really want one but have been using a patch which blunts the craving. Must...keep...going! Re: Cigarettes . . . - Manlove - 07-02-2010 I smoked roll-ups, which cost me about $4 for a weeks worth- about 15-20 a day. As someone whose lungs rebel violently against cigarette smoke, this is one sin tax that I happily endorse. Re: Cigarettes . . . - prymsnap - 07-02-2010 Quit 25 years ago. Re: Cigarettes . . . - Rick-o - 07-02-2010 I was a fairly heavy smoker (about a pack and a half a day) and quit cold turkey back in '88. My reasoning was that I knew they were no good for me, and the price of a pack may even hit a dollar! ::o I had tried to quit several times before 1988 with no luck. I finally put my mind to it and today, I can't believe I ever smoked. Re: Cigarettes . . . - Mini 9 - 07-02-2010 http://www.metacafe.com/watch/448952/russian_child_smoking/ |
