Why is it called the Rock and Roll hall of fame, sound more like the Music Hall of Fame

Out of that list I'd put:
Todd Rundgren
Tina Turner
Iron Maiden

I don't consider Carole King rock, so that's why I left her off.
However, if it was the Music Hall of Fame then she'd be first on the list, as she made huge contributions to modern popular music as a singer-songrwriter.

J. Geils Band, Jethro Tull and ELP aren't in the RRHOF??
WTF???

All three bands made huge contributions, they all helped shape the sounds of the 60's and 70's.

Really isn’t the “Rock and Roll” hall of fame; maybe “pop music” hall of fame or “musical performers lots of people like” hall of fame.
