There's nothing wrong with buying from your community. However, restricting it on a basis of race, religion, sexual preference, language, etc.. well, you end up with a fractured community.
Or is the community non-diverse ?
I personally prefer to work with community businesses, to the point that I will pay a small premium for it. But I don't just buy from Irish-Catholic businesspeople.

I'll just stay away from those white, Jewish, pants-wearing money managers for a while.

It'll prove exclusivity has limitations.
I'm gonna guess the book will be more about the unexpected quirks to the more or less expected results of an experiment.
Also sounds like about as much fun as trying to live without impacting life on the planet. Eventuallly one has to step on an ant or two.
Could be a fun read, though, if they make it so.

I think books and blogs about doing (or doing without) something for a year is a hot publishing trend, so we will probably be seeing a lot of "The Year of Living This or That Way" books for a while.
Ah, I'm going to stay off the Forum for a year and write a book titled ______________
What would the title be?
