R.I.P.

I always liked the guy, and his story. It took quite a lot to build what he did from scratch. Wealth certainly wasn't handed to him, he built that empire on his own.

Oh, and I liked the magazine too! I subscribed for a few years, (I admit, for the airbrushed pics, but I did read the articles too) and before that, a playboy magazine was very valuable to a young teen, way back when.

Sorry to see him go, but he did have a good run.

...Epitaph: the sad thing is at the end, sorry to say, he started to look a bit 'sad' I mean he had all these woman, young women, but they all used him for his 'status' and money......

.....towards the end of a life, it is sad not to have someone by your side....a real someone who has seen you through thick and thin and knows who you are [ you at your best and your worst ]......sure it is 'fun' to have fun with woman half your age but at some point doesn't it get old.....???

He didn't go blind !

I recommend the director's (long) cut version of Apocalypse Now (title Apocalypse Now Redux) for Coppola's very funny take on the influence of Playboy centerfolds on the males at the time.
