The Defense Department has decided not to proceed with three border wall projects in California and Arizona, citing "insufficient contract savings," according to a court filing.
The move appears to be a setback for President Donald Trump, who has sparked controversy for dipping into Pentagon funds to build his signature border wall, though it's unclear what will happen to the projects listed in the filing.

I get the feeling the Pentagon has been sort of rolling its eyes and waiting for the boss to ask a second or third time before actually complying. Then slow-walking it for a bit longer to see if anything changes.

He won't give up. It's by far his biggest campaign promise.
Of course, it'll all be someone else's fault when it doesn't happen.

Even with a GOP majority in both houses of Congress for two years he couldn't get funding. Of course that was the fault of the Democratic members...

I wish there was an accurate way to find out if his supporters really care if the wall is built, or if they just get off talking about a wall.

I think the voters want a wall badly and always will. It seems like an obvious solution in their pea brains.
