Learned the hard way a long time ago. Plumbing fixtures are made with very soft metals.

Thanks - yes I used the crescent wrench first, but quickly stripped the thing and couldn't get a grip. I still don't know how I'm going to get off the old fixture to put in a new one.

Possible tools to use to remove faucet.

RIDGID Faucet and Sink Installer @HD
Model # 27018 Internet # 100595073 Store SKU # 149553

Also a Basin Wrench.
If those dont work, hack saw. Wink

Two nuts under sink.

Turn angle stops off. Disconnect hot and cold risers. Out with the old, in with the new.
