What is a BluRay DVD?
I heard it has better resolution than a BluRay VHS. Sorry, currently unavailable. ;-)

Avatar is one of those movies that really shows well in blu-ray. For most movies, the blu-ray advantage is not so obvious.

On a 63" TV, even my wife can in a second figure out whether we are watching a DVD or BD (and we have a really good upconverting player). The difference is fairly apparent on a 42" screen as well, from my usual viewing distance of 4-5 feet for that set. On the 32" screen I cannot tell the difference, but we almost never use that TV any more. |
