Sort Folders on Top of Files for your Mac

You could just click sort by kind in the folder window...

I have Windoze at work - how do you fix that? You know so sort by name actually sorts everything by name.

Personally I prefer having folders sort alphabetically with files, but maybe that's just the "Mac way" engrained in me, because the way Winblows sorts them annoys me (because it's different). When I actually need certain folder to sort differently, I just add a space or special character at the beginning of the folder name. There is rarely any situation where I would want ALL folders to sort separately from files.

You could just click sort by kind in the folder window...

Sure, they just wouldn't be at the top of the list.
