Wash in cool water with Tecnu. Pat dry and rub Tecnu in as a lotion. Helps pull out the oils that cause the itching.

Old home remedy is to wash with gas. Not exactly safe or healthy, but does help get rid of the poison quickly.

And of course gas will only cause you some contact dermatitis ..oooops :priate:

Second vote for Jewelweed. My dad used to harvest it, boil up a pot of extract... kind of a gelatinous mush, and then freeze it in an ice cube tray, then put the cubes in individual ziploc baggies. After running around in the woods, he'd rub that ice cube on his legs and hands. Never had a problem after that.
