Does the "Paperclip Eject" trick work...
#1
...on the Mac mini?

My mini (Mid 2010) ejected a disk with a little trouble, and now won't accept a disk.

Before I take it in to Apple, I'd like to try cycling it with the Paper Clip Maneuver.

It does not.

I think that only works with tray-loading drives?
Is there any chance the outer case is not lined up with the inner chassis, e.g. after some sort of upgrade?

The mini is box stock except for upgraded RAM.

It sounds like a trip to the Apple Store is in order.

Have you tried to eject the disc at start-up? On a few occassions, I've had discs that won't eject any other way. Trying to eject the disc will booting up has worked. On a rare occassion, I've had to reboot 2 to 3 times to get it to work.

There is more than one way to eject a disk at startup, but I think you guys might want to read the top post again?
