The best option is to have bought the winning ticket in one of the few states that let the winner remain anonymous.

I.e. at most the winner is only identified as "insert generic trust name here"

And don't forget to relocate and establish residency in a state that doesn't tax lottery winnings BEFORE claiming the prize.

IIRC, one has 6 months to claim PB/MM, so even if the winner works for a 3rd party they'd have time to transition out of that job w/o raising suspicions.

"I have this wonderful opportunity in...ummm...Vegas, yeah, that's the ticket!"

I would buy all the people ( on this forum) that are nice to me, and answer my dumb questions, a new iPad.

You're looking good today!

Have you lost weight?
I know for a fact that YOU already have a NEW iPad and are now just being GREEDY! Big Grin

Some states give you only 90 days to claim the prize, so I'd be damned sure I knew the true length of time, or UH OH.

Easy enough to find out from their website, still plenty of time to give notice at work.

I would still be in shock after 90 days.

I think VA allows a year.

Most states are at least 180 days, some are as long as a year.
