Any Photoshop experts here? Romney camp has a opening!

I can buy that it was just a dumb error. It looks like 3 or 4 pics of the same scene were thrown into a really crappy panoramic stitcher app accidentally. In a hurry to get it out, didn't even notice. I can't imagine anyone doing this on purpose and being satisfied with THAT result.

It is such a mess and doesn't make it look like a bigger venue at all - it just makes it look like a Escher scene

The website buzzfeed.com is calling into question whether the Romney campaign exaggerated the size of the crowd at Tuesday's campaign rally in Henderson.

An image on the campaign's instagram account appears to be digitally altered, buzzfeed says.

"I think it was a botched instagram," Team Romney Nevada spokesman Mason Harrison said. "I think they tried to do a panorama and it didn't work. It's not like we were trying to pull the wool over anybody's eyes.

"I don't think there's any need to embellish the fact that there were 6,000 people there."

The Henderson Pavilion's official capacity is about 4,000, including standing room.

"The fire marshal told us there were 6,800," Harrison said. "Our online check-in showed just over 6,000 check-ins.

"We're not trying to overestimate. I'm inclined to believe the computer. I don't know what else to say — all I'm saying is we checked in 6,000 people."

Nothing he says refutes the likelihood that someone at some level thought it would be a good idea to make the rally look larger than it was.
